Goh Thien Phong

Founder and Managing Director

Thien Phong was a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, heading up the Crisis Management Department which provides business recovery services and forensic services. He has over 32 years of professional experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and its legacy firm, Price Waterhouse. He spent his first 10 years in the Audit division specialising in the audit of companies in the manufacturing, trading, property development & investment, engineering & construction, high technology, and oil & gas industries. He was seconded to the Audit & Business Services Department of the Melbourne office of Pricewater House Australia firm in 1989 and rejoined the Singapore Firm in 1991. 

Some of Thien Phong’s notable business recovery/ corporate restructuring projects include Hin Leong, Hyflux, PIL, Ezra Holdings, Nam Cheong etc. Thien Phong played a leading role in all of these engagements. Besides restructuring work, Thien Phong has also led complex and high profile investigation work such as Pasir Ris Punggol Town Council, Asia Pacific Brewery, Accord Customer Care Solutions, Alphatec Electronics (a public listed company in Thailand), and many of the S-chip companies.

Thien Phong holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) with the National University of Singapore. His memberships and appointments in professional bodies include the following:

  • Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand

  • Approved Liquidator registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority and Ministry of Law
  • Associate mediator (Insolvency) in the Singapore Mediation Centre

Thien Phong sits on the Board of Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore. He is also a Board member of the Insolvency Practitioner Association of Singapore. Moreover, he serves as the Board of Governor in HomeTeamNS and in the Risk and Audit Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs Uniformed Services Invest Fund.
